Application Notes
- 1/4" mild steel mid-plate.
- For use with Cummins 5.9L and 6.7L engines with factory rear cover.
- Engine rear cover MUST be machined 1/4" thinner to allow for the mid-plate clearance between the transmission bell housing and engine rear cover. Failure to machine the engine rear cover to accommodate the additional mid-plate thickness will result in damage to the clutch or converter.
- Rear cover dowel pin bores must also be machined 0.200" deeper. A 5/8" or 0.627" diameter dowel that is 0.750" in length is recommended in this location.
- Additional cutting and fabrication may required for your application.
