Fleece Performance heavy duty replacement under hood filter assembly for the Ford F250/350/450/550 6.7L Powerstroke! The plastic OE filters are prone to cracking and fuel leakage - eliminate the risk of a cracked filter with our billet aluminum cap assembly and billet aluminum quick disconnect fittings.  Our drop-in replacement filter assembly locks directly into the stock filter location and utilizes a replaceable spin-on Donaldson filter that is easily serviceable.  The kit includes an extra Donaldson fuel filter, further extending the time before you need to purchase an additional filter.

Application Notes

• Fits 2011-2026 F250/350/450/550 with 6.7L Powerstroke. The 2011-2016 model trucks use only one inlet and one outlet fitting. For 2017-2026 trucks, an additional quick disconnect fitting is provided for the required additional fuel return.
• This product is compatible with trucks equipped with an S&S Diesel Motorsport DCR conversion kit or the S&S Diesel Motorsport CP4 Disaster Prevention Kit.
• Replaces the under hood factory filter in Motorcraft Kits FD-4615 and FD-4625AA that contain manufacturer part numbers HC3Z9N184C and BC3Z9N184B.

Understanding the 6.7L Power Stroke Fuel Supply Filter System

The fuel delivery system for the 6.7L Power Stroke incorporates a low pressure (60-70 psi) fuel pump along with two separate fuel filter components.  On the 2011-2016 model year trucks, the primary under-bed fuel filter is integrated with the frame mounted fuel pump assembly. This changed in model year 2017 when Ford moved the fuel pump from the frame rail to the fuel tank, with the primary under-bed filter remaining either mounted separately to the fuel tank or frame rail, depending on the bed length configuration. All model years (2011-2026) incorporate a secondary, under hood filter that is mounted on the driver’s side valve cover.

Both the under-bed (primary) and under-hood (secondary) filters in the fuel system work in conjunction with each other for the purposes of water-coalescence and particle filtration, including filtration of the injector return fuel by the secondary filter. Ford Motorcraft markets the  combined system performance of these two filters together at 5.1 microns at 98% efficiency.   Ford Motorcraft does not publish the individual performance of each filter separately. In the development of filtration kits for the 6.7L Power Stroke platform, we separated the filters to independently verify the performance.  Here are the findings:

In the development of our fuel filter products for the 6.7L Power Stroke we worked with the filter manufacturers to select filters that would perform equivalently (or better) than our OEM unit samples, as well as providing a filter product that improves serviceability, availability, and durability. Beyond filtration levels, it is equally important to ensure that proper flow rates and acceptable pressure drops were considered and verified in the filter selection. For consistency in reporting vs. the OEM filter testing, all individual performance data is reported at the similar filter efficiency levels and/or micron levels as observed with the OEM filters.
